In the context of this audio program, when I talk about self-love, I’m referring to your ability and willingness to take care of yourself, to nurture yourself, to make sure you are eating properly, to make sure you have a home to live in, that you have clothes on your back, that you do things that keep you healthy and well in all areas of your life. Yet, the thing is, many of us simply find it incredibly difficult to have any sort of relationship with ourselves because we have been socialized and raised in such a way as to believe that putting others first, before your own welfare, is a virtue.
